This Sunday, 5th April 2015 will see Northumberland Lightning make history as they play their first ever National League game, competing at home against the Glasgow Tigers, with a 14:30 kickoff scheduled at Ashington Rugby Club.
After over two years of preparations and following their first competitive victory last month against the Humber Warhawks, the Lightning are raring to go and are keen to make their performance the big talking point on Sunday night when all is said and done.
Originally formed in 1985 as the Strathclyde Sheriffs before becoming the Glasgow Tigers in 2002, the Tigers team has a wealth of experience and will be looking to take home the win on their opening game when they travel across the border to Northumberland.
Entrance is free for the first home game and we encourage all fans and spectators to come down and get involved. The bar will be open throughout and there is adequate car parking available for visitors.
See you all there!
